You are the Butter to my Bread. The Breath of My Life.
I have joined the bandwagon of the Julia Child/Julia Powell fanclub.
I have to admit, I was tempted to ignore the rows of the 'based on two true stories' movie adaptation staring at me from the Blockbuster shelves. The movie preview seemed a little lame. But my love for food, wine, and adaptations made me choose otherwise.
Let's just say I'm glad that I did.
From Amy Adams and Meryl Streep's wonderful portrayals of these two very real characters, to the fabulous recipes and my favorite, Boeuf Bourguignon. I was thorougly entertained the entire time.
[Which amongst completion of the movie, I decided I will--myself--take up that recipe and complete it before 2010 begins. Wish me luck, I am anxious.]
After spending quite over an hour looking up both the real Julia Child and her counterpart Julie Powell, from YouTube [find a silly 'Julia Child Talks to Chickens' episode, look it up!)to Google Images, Oprah to Amazon, I feel like I know these two women a little bit better. I was really pleased with the overall movie, even the director, who's book I'll have to read as well.
Julie Powell has continued her blog career and has herself a 'blogspot' at juliepowell.blogspot.com
I have also decided to cook more, love more, and wait for it, BLOG more.
So be on the lookout for more posts, friends. Considering, If there is anyone out there. I invite you, no, dare you: Read on.
BON APPETIT.

Blessed, full, and just plain' thankFULL!
Something compelled me to create one of these -- we'll see how it pans out.
ANYWHO.
Had an amazing thanksgiving today with everyone on my dad's side of my family.
Mom's side wasn't really doing too much -- mom had to work til last minute.
Discovered that my grandparents have a webcam, spent hours on it with my nieces. They're the best! Created a skype, justin.tv, tinychat, and obviously blogspot accounts - yes, I went a lil' vblog crazy. Who knows, seems kinda fun?
Our Thanksgiving YouTube Adventure, love my girls.
Sucks I had a huge, amazing first blog post and stupid thing deleted it all right before I could send it. Asshole.
It's official:
I will be amongst the hundreds of people around the valley shopping at 5 am later tonight/morning. I'm grabbing my own webcam, and a new digital camera (my old one broke and I'm wayy too lazy to search my mom's entire house trying to find the warranty). YAY for Black Friday! Boo for rent due next week which i'll most likely be late on thanks to some last minute, crazy, spending wayy more than your budget erica--shopping. Phew.
Bored? So were we, well, just super entertained =D

I love my family.
